CSV currency plugin for VirtueMart 3

This currency plugin for VirtueMart 3 uses a manually generated CSV file by the store administrator. This plugin supports a wide range of world currencies manually loaded through a CSV file which is stored in the Joomla! cache directory. The plugin can be easily configured to fit your needs.

Installation Instructions:

1. Install the plugin using Joomla! extensions installer
2. Access VirtueMart configuration page (Components->VirtueMart->VirtueMart Configuration)
3. Click the "Shop" tab
4. In the field "Select a currency converter module" select "convertCSV.php" option
5. Save the changes
6. Access your store profile configuration (Components->VirtueMart->Shop Profile)
7. Choose all supported currencyes by your shop in the field "List of accepted currencies"

You can optionally publish the standard VirtueMart currency selector module to give your customers the ability to choose the currency for product display

Instructions to Load Currency Exchange Values to the CSV File:

1. Connect through to cache/ inside your Joomla! installation folder
2. Edit the file convertCSV.csv
3. Indicate the currency exchange value in this way USD-EUR,0.744878957. This example indicates thaty one USD equals  0.744878957 Euros. The first parameter indicates the conversion direction, in this case USD to EUR, after that, this gets separated by a comma and then comes the second parameterwhich means the conversion value, in this case 0.744878957
4. Repeat step 4 as many times you need, depending of the ammount of currencyes you want to add.

Configuration Instructions:

1. Connect thorugh FTP to administrator/components/com_virtuemart/plugins/currency_converter/ inside your Joomla! installation folder
2. Edit the file convertCSV.php
3. Inside the file, edit the variables delimited by /********** OPTIONS START **********/ and /********** OPTIONS END **********/, do not edit anyhig beyond that delimiters!
1. var $extraCharge = 0.00; Sometimes the server currency value differs from the local bank value, with this option you can add to the calculated value, for instance if you get a server value of $5.50 but the local bank vvalue is $5.80 you may set the variable to $0.30
2. var $cache_time_update = 360; With this option you can indicate the cache lifetime in minutes. It defaults to 360 minutes (6 hours).
